The Other Ann Bancroft spent nearly 25 years working for newspapers before they began their sad slide into obsolescence. I’ve been a speechwriter, editorial writer, news feature writer and communications director, and now finally have the time to write whatever comes to mind, most of it fiction. I write light, humorous pieces about cancer, fear and death, darker stuff about love, and opinionated commentary about things that are none of my business. I’m grateful to the supportive communities of writers in Sacramento (Saturday Writers) and Oceanside (AntiSocial Writers and Misfits, A Word With You Press) for their inspiration and encouragement.
